Your Cosy Checklist for the Season

Your Cosy Checklist for the Season

The cold snap has officially arrived! With more nights at home as you shy away from the dark evenings and bitter chill, you will be looking for your home to feel as comfortable as possible.

To make sure your home is winter ready we’ve put together a list of essentials that you will need for your cosy care kit. Here’s everything you need to feel snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug for the last couple of months of the year.

1.Fleece Throws

There’s nothing better than curling up on your sofa after a long, cold day for some TV therapy. To make sure you are as comfy and toasty as possible, be sure to have fleece throws on hand in your living room throughout winter. Find colours to match your colour scheme and stay warm in style.

2. Sheepskins

If your home style is country glam, then sheepskins are perfect accents to living rooms and bedrooms in the colder months. They add a touch of class to any room with their neutral colour tone, and they warm you up just by looking at them! Head in store to see what we’ve got available.

3. Thick rugs

Keeping your feet warm is a top priority when the cold weather hits. You can always wrap up with thick socks and slippers, but having a thick rug underfoot will add that extra dash of warmth. It will not only feel more heated underneath your pads, but it will also look cosier with the additional piece of soft furnishing.

4. Hot water bottles

Whilst soft furnishings are important, there are other must-haves you need to have handy. Hot water bottles now come in a range of colours, styles and sizes, and work wonders to keep you warmed up in any room of the house. Keep one handy amongst the throw pillows on your bed or sofa and be ready to tackle the cold on any dreary day.

5. ...And of course something to hold your hot drinks in

Lastly, be sure to have the perfect mug in reach for your tea, coffee, hot chocolate… or mulled wine. We have a range of stylish mugs available in our Cook Shop in Shrewsbury. Whether you’re feeling winter vibes, or all-out festive already, we will have something for you to add to your home.
