I would like to thank Alan Ward for the excellent service we feel we have been given by Marc Beckett and his fitter with regard to the Cavalio floor covering we have recently had installed in our house. We approached a number of other potential suppliers before coming to Alan Ward, which we felt might be too expensive. Non of them could commit in any satisfactory way to supplying the flooring. The price Marc Beckett quotes was very competitive and he was efficient and realistic when it came to organising the fitting, which we felt was carried out excellently. Thank you very much, we shall certainly be coming to Alan Ward again in the future.
After visiting the Chester store earlier this week, I felt I should write to you about the service we received. We were unsure as to what we required, we were greeted late yesterday and acknowledged by Mr Terry Dowdswell offering assistance. During our visit he offered valuable and very helpful advice, to assist our decision making process. He provided excellent service without making us feel under pressure. Unfortunately on our visit to Chester, we were unable to reach a decision regarding our choice of suite. However, Terry's attitude and manner certainly left us with a very favourable impression and we will certainly re-visit when next in the area regarding any furnishing requirements.

On Monday 2nd February, my order of two, two seater settees, an armchair, coffee and lamp table, were delivered. I am absolutely thrilled with my new furniture as it is just superb. My thanks to the two delivery men and to Kim, your sales assistant, who has been so kind and helpful, lots of patience and very courteous, a pleasure to buy from your store.
We have recently taken delivery of our order and are writing to express our appreciation of the way we were treated. In the Winsford showroom we were helped considerably by the sales staff, in particular by Mr Paul Roddy, who guided us to the right choice of furniture. We had to change the date of delivery several times owing to delays in the process of moving house; each time we spoke to those working on the logistics of delivery there was never a problem in changing schedules. On the actual day of delivery the men who brought the furniture were excellent; they were on time after giving us 15 minutes notice; they assembled and unpacked quickly and efficiently and found a few minutes to look at a large table (which our removal men had been unable to get into the house) to see if anything could be done. Unfortunately for us it couldn't but it did mean that we came back to buy another dining room table, knowing that we could expect the same standard of service.
We have today taken delivery of our three seater and two seater sofas. We would like to thank the sales representative, Gary Bebbington, for the courtesy and professionalism with which he treated us during the transaction in the Chester store. We would also like to thank the delivery drivers who did an excellent job in installing the sofas. We have been very favourably impressed by the level of customer service provided throughout the whole transaction. Many thanks and best regards.
Comment: I just want to say what wonderful service I received at the Chester store. It was the first furniture store we went into and we were not pressured to buy x, y or z. I was allowed to choose what I wanted and given a fantastic next week delivery, which was amazing as everyone else was saying after Christmas (not what TV ads say). The delivery men were fantastic - they helped by not only setting up the corner suite but advising the best way for it to go (they were right by the way). As they were aware I am newly widowed they helped me by putting the old sofa's outside for the council collection (I had managed to move them to another room but they were in the way a bit). They were polite, helpful and a credit to Alan Ward - can you please ensure my thanks to everyone in Chester and the delivery men is passed on. WELL DONE ALAN WARD - I have already made it known that if you want good service this is where you go.

Just a quick email to say i have been delighted with the service offered from Becky in the Stressless department at Alan Ward in Shrewsbury. She has great product knowledge, price matched a rival store and the furniture arrived before the expected date. Delivery was very quick and the guys were very careful and respectful. Superb service all round. I will be back for a Tempur bed : ) Ordered a Stressless Arion 3 seater sofa in black with steel hoop legs with a matching Arion chair, black corner table, 2 black arm clip on tables and 2 black medium modern ottomans, leather care kit and floor protection strips on the 14th April and was quoted 10-12 weeks for delivery. Delivery took place on 11th June.
We visited the Shrewsbury Store, didn't know what we wanted and one of your staff, Kim Mansell asked if she could help. We explained we wanted a sofa for our conservatory and that we wanted something small. Kim took us to the Palma 2 seater sofa, we didnt need to see anything else. It was just right, and although made to order it came within 7 weeks. It looks lovely thanks to Alan Ward.

Dear Paul, I was the customer who, yesterday, was seeking an 8ft by 6ft rug to go under the occasional table in my sitting room. I had with me, an offcut of the carpet on which I planned to lay the rug, Not once did you put me under the customary salesman pressure, nor try to sell me something very expensive. Furthermore, you gave me excellent advice and I chose an Afghan, which was almost the first rug you showed to me, having seen the offcut. Andrew came this morning to deliver the rug. Very kindly he laid it for me and I am pleased to tell you that you and I (and it was a joint effort!) could not have made a better choice. I'm delighted with it because it blends extremely well with my curtains, furniture and the carpet beneath it. When we moved into this house in 1975, we got all the carpets needed from Alan Ward, who at that time, (if my memory is not at fault) was based in Frankwell. Thank you for your expertise and sage advice.

We had our beautiful Duresta suite delivered from Alan Ward. It looks absolutely stunning in our living room, and perfectly balances the tones of the walls, curtains and carpets. This would have been impossible to achieve without the help of the personal shopper Jane. We were struggling immensely with the vast fabric selection, and were not sure where to turn. Thankfully, we were recommended to speak Jane. She listened to our concerns and desires carefully, fully understanding what we wanted and needed. In no time at all she suggested a fabric, but also offered to come and see us at the house in order to judge the light and dimensions in the room - a service we were most grateful for. The fabric-look beautiful, and with her help on the set up of the room and style of armchair we have the elegant, comfortable and beautiful room we desired. We could not have done this without the patience and suggestions from Jane - thank you very much! We will not hesitate to speak to Jane in the future when styling the rest of the house or changing curtains, and we are immensely looking forward to having guests to see our perfect living room!

I would like to praise Michael Mainwaring who looked after me when I bought my suite. He spent 4 hours with me the first visit and was very patient, polite and courteous. I have purchased from Alan Ward since 1993 and have always had good service but Michael was excellent. The delivery guys were the best I have ever had. Having decided on a top to bottom makeover of our lounge we got as far as changing the fireplace and decorating the walls in a pale green emulsion, but then struggled to make up our minds about the new furniture, curtains and carpet. As a result of a friend's recommendation Jane's expertise rescued us from our state of indecision by guiding us through the decision-making process so that we were never in doubt that the options she had indicated were going to be right. Jane took all the hassle out of a daunting process and we now have a transformed lounge which is comfortable, a constant delight to the eye and has achieved exactly what we wanted.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your two delivery staff who delivered yesterday a very heavy piece of furniture and had to carry it quite a long way to position it where we wanted it. Throughout the whole process they were cheery, courteous and uncomplaining. Once positioned, they checked it was correctly put together and gave it a good rub down. Only when I was satisfied did they leave with a cheery goodbye. They are such a change from the usual surly delivery men one often encounters. Often it is a need to complain that moves customers to feed back their experiences. I think good experiences should be fed back too.
