Production at Ekornes, Norway, started in 1934, with three employees and machines made in Germany. Stressless® was introduced in 1971, as the first recliner designed to meet your body's need for movement and support when seated. The key concern in the Stressless® range is to constantly improve comfort. The characteristic TV-recliner was a revolution in comfort and functionality, and soon became an international success.

Ekornes recliners are produced in several different sizes for a tailor made feel. Most designs come in three sizes, others in two. Experience also tells us that couples who buy a recliner frequently need different sizes, so proportions are subtly amended. You'll hardly notice the difference, but your body will instantly appreciate it.
